After Buying The Republican Congress, The Kochs Are About To Kill The RNC

In a twist of delicious irony, the GOP’s marriage with the Koch brothers has come back to haunt them. The Republican National Committee is in full panic mode as they finally realize that they can no longer control the monster they’ve created. New revelations from high-ranking RNC officials points to an “all out war” with the Koch’s political organization over voter data as more and more Republicans turn to the Koch’s i360 platform for managing voter contacts. The RNC is now resisting efforts by the Kochs to get control over their master voter file.

One can only laugh as the RNC’s chief of Staff, Kate Walsh, says that “I think it’s very dangerous and wrong to allow a group of very strong, well-financed individuals who have no accountability to anyone to have control over who gets access to the data when, why and how.” The RNC is in danger of being pushed out of their own organization and ceding control over the entire Republican Party machine to the Kochs, whose ideology of free-market fascism is focused only on increasing their own profits.

The Republican Congressional leaders, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and John Boehner (R-OH) have refused to admit the threat that the Koch’s Freedom Partners political organization poses a threat to their own party, revealing just how deeply they are lost in the pocketbook of the fossil fuel barons. The RNC’s failure to adapt to a changing political landscape and to take advantage of technological developments created an opening for the Kochs to swoop in and fill that void.

It is confirmation to what farsighted liberals like Bernie Sanders have been arguing all along- that the Republican Party no longer its own entity, but has become an extension of the pernicious behemoth that is the Koch’s political network (the “Kochtopus” as some call it). Through their billions, the Kochs plan to destroy our democracy and replace it with an oligarchy of the wealthy; to dismantle all public institutions and turn them into profit-generating outlets. They will extract every ounce of value out of our environment and leave it barren and dead; and they will reduce the middle class to a permanently disenfranchised underclass of exploitable labor. It is a positive sign that the RNC is beginning to realize what they’ve done; but the damage may already be done. This coming election is the time for America to rise up and take a stand against the schemes of the Kochs, against hypercapitalist Darwinism and for a better future for all Americans.
