Watch: Rand Paul Blows Up and Talks Down to Female Reporter When Called Out for Flip-Flopping

Rand Paul’s triumphant presidential campaign has hit a serious roadblock on his first day out the gate. It took less than four minutes in an interview with NBC Today’s Savannah Guthrie for the junior Senator to lose his cool at truthful allegations of his policy flip-flopping.

In response to some basic questions about foreign policy, discussing foreign aid and Iran, Rand wasted no time in abandoning his libertarian principles and adhering to the Republican Party line, which Ms. Guthrie immediately remarked on. Mr. Paul proved once again that he is entirely incapable of weathering any sort of criticism and exploded in a condescending manner:

“Why don’t you let me explain instead of talking over me, ok? Before we go through a litany of things you say I’ve changed on, why don’t you ask me a question. Have I changed my opinion on? That would be sort of a better way to approach an interview. No, no, no, no, no. You’ve editorialized. Let me answer a question. You ask a question and say have your views changed, instead of editorializing and saying my views have changed.”

It is not a good look for Mr. Paul. Ted Cruz may not be the only one whose campaign reverts to a book tour this quickly.
