Watch: Rick Santorum Proposes The WORST Solution Ever For Winning In Iraq

The Republican presidential field continues to try to outdo each other in their incessant demands for America to go back to war in the Middle East, as if they’ve already forgotten what a disaster the invasion of Iraq. Rick Santorum, the newest member of the Republican candidate clown car, thinks he knows why we aren’t “winning” the war against ISIS: because we aren’t killing enough civilians.

Santorum appeared on the Kelly File last night to discuss the fall of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province, the Sunni heartland of Iraq, and used it as an excuse to take some heartless shots at President Obama’s restrained air campaign against the insurgents: “We’re flying fourteen to twenty sorties a day, which isn’t a lot, and I’ve heard reports that only 30% drop any ordnance because of the rules of engagement that we have, that we can’t harm anybody else, any civilian casualties, because the White House doesn’t want blowback, because of any kind of mishap. It’s a public relations campaign”.

Never mind the fact that the Iraqi army has surrounded Ramadi as you read this. Rick Santorum is seriously trying to criticize President Obama for his efforts to NOT murder Iraqi civilians. Apparently half a million dead Iraqis from our disastrous invasion that set this whole conflict into motion isn’t enough for Santorum, who joins his colleagues in disregarding the lives of innocent civilians and our own soldiers in the desperate pursuit of ignorant talking points. The horrors of the Iraq War and its catastrophic consequences rest heavily on the shoulders of George W. Bush and the Republican Party. They clearly haven’t learned anything from those mistakes, and have no business making any kind of foreign policy statements.
